🎬 Prepare Your Pumptrack Video
Keep it short: please keep videos under 30 seconds.
Audio will be removed during compression or upload, which helps keep file sizes smaller and focuses on the riding.
💬 Option 1 – Recommended: Compress using WhatsApp
This is the easiest and most reliable way to shrink your video before upload.
- On a mobile device send the video to yourself on WhatsApp (or to a trusted friend and have them send it back).
-
After it’s sent and processed:
- On iPhone: open the video → tap Share → Save to Photos / Save Video.
- On Android: open the video → tap the three dots or share icon → Save / Download.
- Your phone will usually save a much smaller MP4 version.
- Return to the Submit a Track page and upload that smaller file.
This works best for short clips. In certain circumstances the result might still be large — if so, try trimming/cropping the clip shorter in your Photos app and repeat.
🧩 Option 2 – Compress in your browser (experimental)
Works best for short clips under ~30 seconds. Audio will be removed.
📱 What happens on your device?
- On iPhone: downloads don’t work directly. The compressed video will open in a new tab — long-press the video and choose Save Video.
- On Android: the file will download normally into your Downloads folder.
- On Desktop: the file saves as a normal download.
⚠️ Important
In-browser video compression is experimental and may not work on every phone or browser. Performance varies depending on:
- Device age and speed
- Browser type (Chrome/Safari/Firefox)
- Video format (HEVC / .mov / slow-motion clips)
- Low available memory
If this tool pauses, crashes, or fails to save the video:
👉 Please use the WhatsApp compression method instead — it is much more reliable on all devices.
You can always come back to this page after trimming your video shorter or trying another format.
✅ Final Check
Upload limit on the site: please keep your final video under 50 MB.
If your video is still too large after trying the browser tool, we recommend:
- Using the WhatsApp method above, and/or
- Trimming or cropping the clip shorter in your Photos / Gallery app, then compressing again.
